Role Responsibilities

• More than 2+ years of overall IT experience in application development, production support, DevOps
• Batch management / Scheduling tools such as Control M, Autosys
• Monitoring/analytical tools such as ITRS, Grafana, ELK, Prometheus, Sysdig.
• BigData tools such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Squirro
• Data visualisation & BI tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, MicroStrategy.
• Distributed services coordination/synchronisation tools such as Zookeeper, Yarn
• Microservices management tools such as Kong, Istio, Jersey
• In-memory/Distributed databases like Redis, MongoDB, Cassandra, Hazelcast, Postgres
• DevOps tool stack such as Jenkins, Ansible, BitBucket, GIT, Maven, Docker, Rundeck
• Messaging/Streaming tools like Kafka, Active MQ
• Programming/Scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Power shell, Java / J2EE
• Basics of Oracle/MS SQL database administration
• Basics of Unix/Linux, Windows administration, OpenShift, Kubernetes
• AWS/Azure cloud platform support

Responsibilities*

• Act as a bridge between Development & Operations

• Responsible for faster production incidents resumption, root cause identification, defects fixing

• Responsible for identifying & delivering improvement opportunities such as, Manual task automations, Performance/Throughput improvements, Batch optimisation etc, that will ultimately improve the production service/stability

• Responsible for identifying & implementing solutions to improve overall Operations efficiency, that should result in cost saves/avoidance
