To collaborate closely with other offshore field staff, as well as the Project Surveyor and Technical Department on a project basis. All survey equipment must be operated competently. All survey equipment mobilized on board the survey vessel must be maintained, repaired, and operational. Electronic, computer, and electromechanical equipment fault detection, repair, and maintenance All equipment failures must be documented and reported to the Base Engineer/Technical Manager. Make certain that all equipment transfers are documented and reported to the Base Office. Shipboard equipment and data communications networks are installed and interfaced. Calibration and testing of measuring instruments Surface and underwater positioning systems are operational, as are geophysical survey systems. Development of existing survey systems to meet the needs of a specific project. Ensure that the reporting is of the highest quality. Assist and directly support the Party Chief with the execution of given work and tasks. Responsible for actively ensuring all safety standards are met and followed and reports are duly completed as and when necessary.
