Sustainability Management Trainee based in Niah

Successful candidates will participate in a two-year sustainability trainee program based in Sarawak, Malaysia. The program includes on-the-job training that will broaden your perspective and knowledge on cutting-edge global sustainability implementation, palm oil certification standards, and the palm oil industry as a whole. You will be given the opportunity to work closely with our vastly experienced team and contribute to the many on-going sustainability projects. At the end of this program, you will have an opportunity for a full-time placement.

We are looking for enthusiastic recent graduates with a degree in environmental, biological and social sciences and/or any other relevant degrees. Applicants must have passion in the application of sustainability and conservation in oil palm production and agriculture.

Due to visa requirements - candidates should already have the right to remain in Malaysia.

Candidates Must:

• Willing to travel and be based in a plantation in Sarawak (nearest town - Bintulu/Miri). Valid international passport a requirement
• Have valid driver\'s license
• Be fluent in English, with conversation ability in Bahasa Malaysia. Candidates with fluency in Sarawakian languages such as Iban, Foochow, and others will have an added advantage
• Have ability to work with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
• Candidates with experience in applied science skills such as GIS, species sampling, conservation monitoring, wildlife photography, etc will be at an advantage
• Team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Responsible and willing to learn based on the job requirement
