Key Responsibilities: 1. Carbon Net Zero Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive roadmap to achieve carbon net zero targets, considering energy conservation measures, renewable energy adoption, and carbon offsetting strategies. 2. Energy Conservation: Identify opportunities for reducing energy consumption, implementing energy-efficient technologies and practices, and maximizing the use of renewable energy sources within the facility. 3. Sustainability Planning: Develop and maintain a sustainability plan that encompasses waste management, water conservation, green building certifications, and other environmentally conscious practices. 4. Governance: Ensure compliance with relevant environmental regulations and standards, monitor sustainability progress, and report on key performance indicators related to carbon emissions reduction and other sustainability metrics. 5. Risk Management: Identify and assess operational risks related to sustainability and energy conservation and provide advisory support to mitigate these risks. Maintain an effective system for logging and tracking operational risk advisories. 6. Capital Planning: Collaborate with capital planning teams to align facility upgrades, retrofits, and replacements with sustainability goals and strategies. Provide insights on the financial implications of sustainability initiatives and help prioritize capital investments. 7. Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote sustainability initiatives, educate employees on energy conservation practices, and gather support for carbon net zero goals.
