LSEG is headquartered in London and has a major presence throughout Europe, the Americas, Asia Pacific and emerging markets.Role ProfileFor LSEG Malaysia based in Kuching, we are currently recruiting for a Research Analyst position in our Sustainable Finance and Investments (SFI) department. Our research analysts are responsible for assessing the Climate Change performance disclosure of global companies. The Research Analyst is a critical function in the SFI team, gathering data which is used by the investment community to incorporate climate change governance and performance aspects into investment decision making and stewardship. We are looking for individuals who become comfortable with strict weekly deliverable commitments and have high degree of ownership for the quality of work delivered.The data are captured from publicly available information sources and is manually collected to ensure that the information is standardized, comparable and reliable. All the data collected is quality controlled and verified in a meticulous process by our experienced analysts and robust automated checks. The successful candidate is responsible for collecting data into the system and making sure that it is timely, complete, and accurate.Role ResponsibilitiesCollect quantitative and qualitative data from multiple information sources including annual reports, sustainability reports, websites, and other filings of publicly traded companiesAnalyze collected data as per a pre-defined TPI (Transition Pathway Initiative) Ratings methodologySupport analysis with brief comments and rationaleProvide appropriate references of source documents usedCollect and analyze online news releases on ESG controversies related to companiesThe ability to work effectively with peers, leads, and manager \xe2\x80\x93 both within the team as well as other teams in multiple time zones.QualificationsBachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent experienceProficient in English and Mandarin (reading and comprehension at minimum secondary school level)Able to work independently with high degree of ownershipAbility to meet strict weekly timeliness and quality standards established by the departmentAbility to multi-task and be results driven.Preferred SkillsExperience with ESG factors; expertise in SustainabilityIf this sounds exciting to you, apply today!
