With sophisticated data collection services, cloud-based applications, desktop analytics and print products, We incorporate valuable tools such as quantitative Smart Beta equity research and tools for portfolio building and measurement.LSEG Malaysia based in Kuching, Malaysia are currently recruiting for a senior research analyst in our Data Collection Sustainable Investments team. This is a critical function in the Sustainable Investment team, ensuring quality and having complete ownership of data used by the investment community to incorporate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) aspects into investment decision making and stewardship. We are looking for individuals with very high attention to detail and who can work under strict delivery timelines. Besides ESG data collection, you are encouraged to be proficient in our ESG methodology and shall be involved in various training and guidance discussions.Crucial Duties & Responsibilities

• Review quantitative and qualitative ESG data from multiple information sources including annual reports, sustainability reports, websites, and other filings of publicly traded companies
• Responsible for reviewing day-to-day data collection quality of 1-3 ESG Research Analysts
• Analyse collected data as per a pre-defined ESG methodology
• Support analysis with brief comments and rationale
• Provide appropriate references of source documents used
• Collect and analyse online news releases on ESG controversies related to companies
• Develop strong subject matter expertise on various sub themes in our ESG methodology
• Identify and suggest ideas for reducing effort spent on data collection and analysis by using automation or by process optimization
• Develop and maintain real time methodology guidance and quality manuals
• Work efficiently with peers, leads, and manager \xe2\x80\x93 both within the team as well as other teams in multiple time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent experience
• Excellent English language skills (write, read, talk)
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently with high degree of ownership
• Ability to meet strict weekly timeliness and quality standards established by the department
• Ability to multi-task and be results oriented

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ESG factors and sustainability
• Languages skills like Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Italian and Russian.
