As a System Engineer (Cloud), you will be a pivotal member of our team who lead the deployment and management of mission-critical application infrastructure within AWS. Your focus will ensure the resilience, security, and scalability of cloud-based applications and infrastructure. Collaborating closely with development teams, you'll facilitate seamless deployments and provide crucial architectural documentation to clients, addressing their security inquiries with expertise and precision.
The responsibilities will include:To support HA, secure and scalable applications and infrastructure on cloud compute and storage platforms. Manage deployments into client environments & identify opportunities to lower cost & risk. Establish and maintain monitoring - CloudWatch logs & events. Work closely with development teams to support application builds, continuous integration, and deployments. Work with AWS technical resources on best practices Migrate applications on Linux and Windows VM's into AWS. Manage AWS application licensing and billing including provision of service breakdowns.

What are we ideally looking for in a successful candidate?At least 5 years' experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer in a similar role Relevant qualifications / certifications in AWS Experience with the core AWS services (e.g. EC2, RDS, ELB, EBD, S3, VPC, Glacier, IAM, AWS clients) to develop and maintain an Amazon AWS based cloud solution Strong concepts of security best practices including Optimization of architecture and infrastructure Demonstrate technical knowledge & communications skills. Ability to work effectively independently in addition to the capacity to add value as a team member. Able to work A/H, shifts & on call according to rostering (attractive allowances offered). Desirable Experience with Windows/Linux/DBA Basic networking principles Experience with Development Pipelines and deployments (Infrastructure as Code) - Terraform Scripting or similar regarded Experience with Kubernetes Containers.
