Job Description

System Engineer / Sr System Engineer A System Engineer will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting customers' IT infrastructure. This role requires close collaboration with IT end users, internal stakeholders, and technology partners to ensure that systems and network environments are operating optimally, securely, and efficiently. The position involves project installation, testing, post-implementation support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

Education and Experience Requirement:



Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Minimum 2-5 years of hands-on experience in systems operations or infrastructure management. Proven experience in implementing and managing IT infrastructure solutions. Strong technical knowledge of operating systems and storage platforms (e.g., Windows Server, Linux/Unix) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V). Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) will be an advantage. o Relevant certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, or CompTIA Security+ will be an added advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Results-driven, with strong adherence to processes and standard operating procedures. Project management experience or involvement in IT system projects will be advantageous.

Responsibilities:



Design, implement, and maintain server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, storage solutions, and network devices. Configure and deploy operating systems, applications, and services in accordance with best practices. Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and capacity expansion initiatives. Provide Level 2/3 technical support and troubleshooting to ensure service levels are consistently met. Prepare and maintain accurate pre- and post-project documentation. Communicate effectively and collaborate with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams. Liaise with vendors for problem resolution and manage escalation process

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
