As part of your role, you are responsible for various tasks related to server management and support. This includes ensuring that applications and their support are executed and delivered within the requested timescales. You need to maintain a forward vision of Windows/Linux/Unix server architecture and provisioning to ensure timely updates to servers. Additionally, you are accountable for the accurate and timely release of new or enhanced services to production. In order to assist your team, you provide support with server patching, coordinating schedules and implementing patching strategies to minimize downtime. To also ensure compliance and efficiency in carrying out these tasks. To ensure the overall health and performance of the servers, you carry out 24x7 server health monitoring using monitoring tools. This helps to proactively identify and address any potential issues or anomalies, ensuring the smooth operation of the servers.

Backup recovery tasks are executed as requested, including scheduling and monitoring backups, verifying their integrity, and performing recovery tests. You would also administrate and organize offline backup mediums, preparing them for online use as needed. It is important to follow your organization\xe2\x80\x99s policies, procedures, and consult with relevant stakeholder.

Lastly, you serve as a hardware coordinator for any hardware failure at the server level. This involves coordinating with vendors or internal teams to address hardware issues promptly and minimize downtime by fulfilling these responsibilities, you contribute to the stability, efficiency, and reliability of the server infrastructure, ensuring smooth operations and optimal performance for the organization.

As a System Support Analyst, having knowledge in Linux/Unix & Windows is a huge plus. Very good knowledge of Veritas Cluster management will also be an integral part of this role.

You are a technology aficionado, therefore you have a good understanding of e-mail communication. You are able to work independently, prioritize and organize your tasks under time and workload pressure. Working in a multinational environment, you can expect cross-region collaboration with teams around the globe, thus being advanced in spoken and written English will be certainly useful.
