Responsibilities
Review and analyze RFQs, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
o Perform detailed cost estimations for sheet metal parts and assemblies, covering: raw materials manufacturing processes, labor, tooling, fixtures, and overhead, subcontracting, packaging and transportation
o Analyze BOMs and identify cost saving opportunities
o Prepare and issue competitive quotations and technical proposals in coordination with sales and engineering
o Compare multiple manufacturing options (eg: in-house vs outsourced) for customized or complex orders
o Maintain and update pricing databases, standard templates and cost models
o Stay updated on market trends and pricing, possess strong familiarity with tooling and machining cost structures
o Establish standardized quotation procedures and develop automation tools to improve efficiency
o Interpret customer technical requirements and assess manufacturability
o Suggest design or material alternatives to optimize cost and production feasibility
o Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure quotations align with production capabilities
o Ensure operations comply with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and industry certifications (eg: ISO standards ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001)
o Take up any task or assignment from top management from time to time
Qualification :
o Proficient in mechanical drafting tools and CAD software.
o Solid knowledge of sheet metal products and New Product Introduction (NPl) procedures.
o Familiar with product technical specifications and characteristics
o Strong ability in problem judgment, analysis, and resolution.
o Excellent communication and coordination skills
o Proven capability in process improvement and optimization
o Well-versed in IS0 9000 quality management system standards.
