Manage the meticulous calculation of personal and corporate taxes, guaranteeing the accurate and timely submission of all tax returns.
Liaise with tax agents to ensure full compliance with the Malaysian Income Tax Act and associated laws.
Stay updated on local and international tax legislation.
2. Tax Estimates & Payments
Support the preparation of tax estimations, process amendments, and manage monthly tax installments.
Handle tax payments, process refunds, and communicate with the LHDN to ensure prompt resolution of tax-related issues.
3. Withholding Tax
Manage the accurate computation, documentation, and timely submission of Withholding Tax (WHT).
4. Tax Records & Reporting
Responsible for the meticulous organization and upkeep of tax records and supporting documents for all audit and internal requirements.
Responsible for systematically maintaining all documentation to guarantee compliance and preparation for all audits.
5. General Accounting & Financial Support
Handle the full-cycle accounting process, encompassing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Support company financial health through involvement in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
Responsible for ensuring full compliance with all financial regulations, standards, and internal control policies.
6. Audit & Reporting
Support internal and external audits by preparing all necessary documentation and resolving audit inquiries.
Handle all client and stakeholder inquiries with professionalism, speed, and efficiency.
7. Ad-Hoc Support & Research
Contribute to special projects and conduct tax-related research as required by management.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax and financial matters to improve efficiency and compliance.
Requirements
Professional Certificate, ACCA, CPA, or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
Knowledge of Malaysian tax laws and general accounting practices.
At least 1 year of relevant work experience required; candidates with 2+ years of experience may be considered for a senior-level role.
At least 1 year experience with UBS system or autocount.
Ability to speak Mandarin/Chinese will be considered an added advantage due to the nature of client interactions.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Proficiency in accounting software is a plus.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
