Job Description

Key Responsibilities



1. Tax Compliance & Filing



Manage the detailed calculation of personal and corporate taxes, guaranteeing the accurate and timely submission of all tax returns. Liaise with tax agents to ensure strict compliance with the Malaysian Income Tax Act and related legislation. Ensure up-to-date knowledge of local and global tax legislation.

2. Tax Estimates & Payments



Assist in preparing tax estimates, process necessary amendments, and manage monthly tax installment oversight. Process tax payments and refunds, and coordinate with the LHDN to ensure prompt resolution of all tax matters.

3. Withholding Tax



Manage the entire Withholding Tax (WHT) lifecycle, ensuring accurate computation, correct documentation, and punctual submission.

4. Tax Records & Reporting



Ensure all tax records and supporting documentation are maintained with precision to satisfy audit and internal requirements. Ensure all documentation is systematically organized for compliance and to facilitate efficient audit preparation.

5. General Accounting & Financial Support



Manage the full-cycle accounting process, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and bank reconciliations. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis to maintain the company's financial health. Confirm total conformance with all financial regulations, standards, and internal control policies

6. Audit & Reporting



Assist in internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and addressing all auditor inquiries. Handle all client and stakeholder inquiries professionally, promptly, and efficiently.

7. Ad-Hoc Support & Research



Carry out special projects and conduct required research on tax matters as assigned by management. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax and financial matters to improve efficiency and compliance.

Requirements



Professional Certificate, ACCA, CPA, or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field. Knowledge of Malaysian tax laws and general accounting practices.

At least 1 year of relevant work experience required; candidates with 2+ years of experience may be considered for a senior-level role.

At least 1 year experience with UBS system or autocount. Ability to speak Mandarin/Chinese will be considered an added advantage due to the nature of client interactions. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Proficiency in accounting software is a plus. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
