The Group You\'ll Be A Part OfYou will join our International Headquarters (IHQ) tax team in Malaysia which is a part of our Global Tax Department based in the United States. Global Tax plays a critical role in managing tax strategies and compliance for a diverse portfolio of operations across multiple regions. As part of a dynamic, highly skilled group, you will collaborate with tax professionals worldwide, working on complex tax issues to support the company\'s global business objectives. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a global tax function in a fast-paced, multinational environment.The Impact You\'ll MakeWe are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Analyst to join our Global Tax Department. The primary focus of this role will be ensuring compliance with the United States federal and state tax regulations. The Tax Analyst will assist in tax filings and reporting as well as support the company\'s overall tax strategy. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion to learn U.S. tax law and income tax compliance, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will report to a tax director in the U.S., with a dotted line reporting to a senior tax manager in Malaysia.What You\'ll Do

  • Tax Return Preparation: Assist with the preparation of U.S. federal and states income tax returns for the company and its subsidiaries. This includes gathering and organizing financial data, completing tax forms, and ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Income Tax Accounting: Assist with the preparation of workpapers for quarterly and annual tax provision related computations and analysis.
  • Tax Research and Analysis: Conduct research on federal and states tax issues as assigned. Assist with assessing the impact of tax law changes on the company\'s tax position and compliance obligations.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate and organized records of tax filings, supporting documentation, and correspondence. Assist in the documentation of tax positions and procedures. Learn and become proficient user of various software, tools and platforms, such as SAP, SharePoint, Alteryx and OneSource, etc.
  • Tax Compliance Projects: Participate in various tax compliance projects, including assisting with tax audits, responding to tax authorities\' inquiries, and supporting the implementation of tax planning strategies. Ensure timely payment of all tax liabilities and proper documentation of tax payments
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the tax team and other departments (such as accounting and finance) to gather necessary information and ensure accurate and timely completion of tax-related tasks.
  • Professional Development: Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax laws and compliance procedures. Stay updated on current tax regulations and industry trends.
Who We\'re Looking For
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
  • Additional professional qualifications e.g. CTIM, ACCA, MIA will be an advantage
  • Minimum 2 years tax experience, preferably in a large corporate or public accounting environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools. Strong technology and computer skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in both spoken and written English.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Experience with SAP systems and/or tax research tools is a plus.
