Job Description


We are representing our client, a professional services firm offering accounting, taxation, audit, HR outsourcing, and business consulting. They focus on helping businesses manage finances, streamline HR, and ensure compliance to support growth and efficiency.

  • Location: Taman Desa, Kuala Lumpur
  • Working hours: Mon - Fri / 9.00am to 6.00pm
Job Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and review the preparation of tax computations and filings to ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of direct tax returns, ensuring all statutory deadlines are met.
  • Provide expert advice and support to clients during tax audits, mitigating risks and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Stay informed on updates to tax laws and regulations and ensure compliance across all operations.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the Tax Compliance Team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Monitor and manage daily operations to ensure efficient workflows and resource allocation.
  • Conduct performance reviews and identify development opportunities for team members.
  • Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for tax-related work processes.
  • Regularly review and update internal control procedures to reflect regulatory changes and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve tax processes and service delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their tax compliance needs are met with excellence.
  • Provide proactive and practical solutions to complex tax-related issues.
Requirements:
  • Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in income tax compliance, with a track record of managing a tax team.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations, compliance procedures, and reporting requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
