Job Description


Frontier International is seeking to appoint an experienced and inspirational Art and Design Teacher to join our school as a vital member of our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing and guiding students in the middle and high school levels in Art. The role involves creating engaging lesson plans and fostering a positive learning environment to support and develop effective practice within the subject area, enabling our students to learn to apply their knowledge and skills to deepen conceptual, disciplinary and interdisciplinary understandings. Responsibilities: Create engaging lesson plans that encourage creativity and skill development. Provide hands-on, experiential learning opportunities that allow students to explore art techniques and materials. Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, creativity, and active participation among students. Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to develop interdisciplinary projects, cross-curricular activities, school wide events, and art-related activities. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades and other relevant information in a timely manner, utilising appropriate platforms. Qualifications: A bachelor\'s or equivalent in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field. Preferably, candidates with prior experience teaching art to students in a school setting. Ability to infuse classes with a positive and energetic atmosphere, encouraging active participation and creativity. A strong portfolio showcasing own artwork across various mediums, demonstrating expertise and creativity would be an added advantage. Proficiency in English and able to communicate clearly and effectively with students, colleagues, and parents. Ability to effectively differentiate instructions to accommodate diverse learners. Ability to provide constructive feedback to students and encourage their artistic growth. Ability to collaborate with teachers from different disciplines to create cross-curricular projects that enrich students\' understanding of art\'s connections to other subjects. Flexibility, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to working in a multicultural and multilingual school community.
