SUNWAY INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL (SIS) is the first international school in Malaysia to offer the Ontario (Canada) Ministry of Education High School Curriculum. A private co-educational institution, SIS commenced in January 2008. Due to dynamic growth and expansion, SIS has opened up a second campus in Sunway Iskandar , a new development strategically located close to major attractions in Iskandar, Johor Bahru, and Singapore. Beginning in January 2017, SIS Sunway Iskandar have started operations and offers the Ontario curriculum for students in Kindergarten to Grade 10, and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) for students in Grades 11 and 12. SIS Iskandar welcomes applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to join SIS Iskandar in the following area/s. Responsibilities The Teacher is responsible for providing an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, spiritual and psychological growth. The teacher is responsible for developing course outline(s) and implementing instructional programs that will result in students achieving academic success in accordance with the Malaysian Ministry of Education, and/or International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme\'s policies and guidelines. The Teacher will also provide non-academic services to the institution and undertake professional activities, extra-curricular activities, counseling and marketing activities. Academic staff members are expected to engage in scholarly activities to develop and enhance his/her teaching, research and professional expertise relevant to the profession. Specific duties: Conduct classes, tutorials, demonstrations and field work. Consultation with and supervision of students. Mark and assess student\'s work, assignments, projects, tests, coursework, internal and mock examinations. Review and moderate examination questions and mark answer scripts. Participate in curriculum planning and development to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs. Model professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community. Ensure student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for grades, subject area, and/or program classification. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students and parents and communicate effectively with thems. Maintain up-to-date online learning platform. Perform extra-curricular activities, assist in the counselling of students, mark Placement/Readiness assessments and participate in school promotional activities, open days and marketing events. Perform administrative functions primarily connected with subjects the academic teaches e.g. record class attendance, record student attendance in co/extra-curricular activities, and invigilation of examinations. Supervise student related projects that are part of the course of study (Internal Assessments, CP Reflective Project, DP Extended Essay). . Requirements: A degree in Education and/or related disciplines. At least 2 years of working experience preferably in teaching IB DP / CP Business or Economics.
