SCOPE The Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing a program for young children. It includes developing and delivering interactive learning programs designed to engage and educate young children. They must ensure the development and safety of these children in accordance with relevant federal, territorial and legislation and policies. The Teacher will be respectful of children and parents and ensure that equipment and facilities are clean, safe and well maintained. Failure to provide adequate services may place children at risk. RESPONSIBILITIES

• i. Plan and execute lessons while leading the class: decide gestures for the music and movement time, prepare art materials and collaborate with others to implement a Scheme of work and lesson plans. Familiarity with multiple toddlers learning areas
• ii. Attends all the training that is provided by the school despite working days or on weekends.
• iii. Provide tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities.
• iv. Establish and enforce rules of behavior for children in their classrooms. Serves as a role model to child learners.
• v. All books and materials to be marked diligently within 3 working days. Communicate with parents the progress of the children on a regular basis. Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents.
• vi. Observe and assess the development and progress of each individual child. Encourage children to interact with each other to develop social skills. Help children to reach developmental milestones. Track children\xe2\x80\x99s progress and report to the parents.
• vii. Manages small and large groups of students in a classroom environment and communicates effectively with students, including on potentially sensitive topics.
• viii. Plan and organize special events held by the school and must participate and work as a team to make the event a successful event for the school.
• ix. Encourage creativity and care for kids throughout the lesson and the day: facilitate various activities for the students including songs, games, and storytelling. Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children.
• x. Brief parents on lessons taught and planned. Maintain a welcoming and helpful relationship with each child\xe2\x80\x99s family and encourage their involvement in the program.
• xi. To write progress reports for communication to parents during parents\xe2\x80\x99 conferences or upon request.
• xii. Ability to organize tasks and manage time to meet many varied deadlines.
• xiii. Working knowledge of various office and video equipment should be built according to the needs of the operations and academics.
• xiv. Working familiarity with assistive technologies; internet and email systems; word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet software must be developed accordingly to the academic and operational needs.
• xv. Sanitize all toys weekly and on-premises daily with the help of their assistant teachers. Adhere to health/safety and sanitation procedures.
• xvi. Keep the classroom clean and learning materials organized. Maintain inventory system for classroom materials and supplies.
• xvii. Monitoring child safety and enhancing developmental growth. Provide appropriate supervision for the children at all times.
• xviii. Attend to the personal cleanliness of every child; changing diapers/soiled clothing and washing hands. Provide basic needs for the children.
• xix. Assist in preparing food for children and serving meals and refreshments to children and regulating rest periods.
• xx. Maintain safe surroundings based on security standards.
• xxi. Be familiar with emergency procedures for the safety of all.
• xxii. Perform other related duties: assist in other ad-hoc duties.
• xxiii. To abide and follow all the instructions of the principal diligently.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Early Childhood Education or Psychology or Education or equivalent and must have an interest in teaching.
• At least 0 to 2 years (s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. Training will be provided.
• Must have interest in working with kids aged 18 months to 6 years old, like to teach them and make a difference in them.
• Hardworking and responsible and have a positive attitude.
• Good team player: Strong ability to work effectively and support other members of the team.
• Strong ability to collaborate with work experience students in providing great pastoral care to children.
• Strong ability to work effectively with parents, teachers, ECE students and instructors, management, administrators, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Strong ability to create a stimulating, caring, safe, and enjoyable learning environment for children.
• Knowledge of state regulations and national accreditation principles and the ability to adhere to them in carrying out duties.
• Good knowledge of methods of instruction, care, supervision, and practices of toddlers, preschool-age children, and/or infants in a learning environment.
• Competence in the use of the English language, including grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Good command of Mandarin is a plus point.
• Strong ability to communicate orally and in writing effectively.
• Ability to keep student records and files confidential.
• Ability to apply discretion, tact, patience, and courtesy in handling sensitive and difficult situations and individuals.
