Functional (job responsibilities) 1. Apply a structured business architecture approach and methodology for capturing the key views of the business unit in the context of the enterprise; 2. Evaluate new and emerging technologies, conduct Proof of Concepts, and perform cost benefit business analysis. Develop Reference Architecture, Engineer and Operationalize the new solution; 3. Ability to integrate content from other domain areas and construct final technical design documents; 4. Design, Engineer and Implementation of Storage infrastructure based on business requirements and adhering to tight operations, security, and procedural models; 5. Under minimal supervision, this position performs a high level of technical expertise to support complex Storage Devices including SAN, NAS, SDS and Tier I, II, III solutions, active active and stretched storage environments; 6. Work with other Engineering Disciplines to develop Infrastructure Building Blocks based on Reference Architectures and standards that can be offered as services to our customers; 7. Ability to operate in complex, highly-secure, and highly-available, operations environments and interact with the technology domain experts required to maintain those environments; 8. Drive and influence use of IT standards throughout the organization; 9. Provide highly reliable infrastructure solutions that are extremely secure enabling Operations to manage environments simply and effectively; 10. Must have the breadth and/or depth in a wide variety of technologies and tools that are used in emerging infrastructure architectures; 11. Hands on experience with EMC, HDS, IBM and Netapp Enterprise and Midrange storage arrays. -Hands on experience Brocade SAN Switches; 12. Experience with Software Defined Storage (block, file and object); 13. Experience with UNIX (AIX, Solaris and Linux), VMware, KVM, Hyper-V, Windows operating environments in managing Storage along with HA software stack (Native MPIO); 14. Ability to write technical design and build documentations for all aspects of a technical infrastructure; 15. Must have experience in system monitoring techniques and tools supporting unattended operations and daily storage-related SAN/NAS alerts and activities; 16. Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and solve issues with storage stack (Hosts, SAN switches and Storage Devices).
