About the Department
The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.
Job Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the end-to-end software development and support for all work transitioned from Group (which could be projects, quarterly change requests, L3 production fixes). This includes analysis and design to development, implementation, testing and support and you will be expected to manage production problems and incidents. You will also be responsible for quality assurance of the team delivery in conformance to the Bank-defined software delivery methodology and tools. You will partner closely with the Group domain team to plan and manage transitioned deliverables. Other responsibilities include:
Act as the focal point of contact for technical resolutions while managing the incident, problem and knowledge management processes for the applications in scope
Provide comprehensive support to internal customers; achieve resolution to outstanding problems or issues
Manage 3rd party product vendors and integration partners to ensure application code fix deliveries are timely and good quality
Design appropriate metrics for reporting on key performance and quality indicators
Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization
Work with and manage production support team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing
Work with business stakeholders to manage and prioritize the overall book of work in terms of problem remediation
Contribute to improvement initiatives relating to methods, tools, people, architecture, project management and governance
Job Requirements
At least 9 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in software development, preferably in cash and payments
Senior software engineer with experience in AS400 iSeries, COBOL400, COBOL ILE, RPG400, RPG ILE
Knowledge of REM & ROM (Payments) and Oracle DB2
Familiar with Agile processes and practices
Experience in leading production support teams in terms of task management as well as technical decisions
Have good experience and understanding of Banking domains
Strong communication and organization skills to collaborate effectively within the squad and with other stakeholders
EDUCATION Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar domain; Additional professional/technical qualifications will be advantageous although not mandatory
