DESIGNATION : Technical Lead - JO



RESPONSIBILITIES

IT Application Management


Manage and execute the development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing information systems and software packages. Ensure effective delivery with cost efficiency and total quality to ensure that IT investment realizes its intended benefits. Define action plan to support the IT strategy through sound planning, established methods, and resourcing to deliver projects within agreed timelines. Manage, enforce, and review system changes, adhering to the software development life cycle and software quality management. Manage and optimize system delivery aligned to the Enterprise Architecture framework Manage application availability with timely resolution of issues and problems

Resource & Team Management


Plan, allocate, and optimize team resources to meet business demands effectively. Mentor and coach team members to enhance technical capabilities. Drive team performance in alignment with divisional and company strategies.

Solution Design & Architecture


Own a portfolio of solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with business requirements. Translate business and functional needs into effective system solutions. Act as technical lead for medium to large-scale, complex projects.

Development & Testing


Develop high-quality code following best practices and coding guidelines. Perform unit and system integration testing (SIT) before user acceptance testing (UAT). Support and resolve UAT issues. Provide second-level production support, collaborating closely with first-level support teams.

Project Scope


Lead end-to-end delivery of projects ranging from medium to high complexity, working closely with vendors and infrastructure teams.




QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in IT or related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum 8 years of experience in IT application development, with at least 6 years in a supervisory or technical lead role. Proven expertise in delivering large-scale IT projects, including system design, application delivery, and technology implementation. Strong understanding of the insurance domain, including business operations and distribution channels. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in: + Programming & Frameworks: ASP & VB.NET, Bootstrap, Telerik, Java, Java Servlet 2.0
+ Integration & Services: Web services development (JSON, SOAP), SFTP, XCOM
+ Databases: Oracle, SQL, Sybase
+ Scripting & Automation: Windows batch scripts
+ Reporting & Collaboration Tools: Crystal Reports, SharePoint, Adobe Experience Manager (future)
