We are looking for a junior/mid-level software engineer as an addition to the software engineering team bringing a mix of technical design as well as firsthand development skills. You will help develop API and backend software applications following best practices, standards, and patterns. You will have many opportunities to gain experience on innovative technologies and display your passion for technology.



Key Responsibilities



Develop technical design or solution architecture and oversee task assignments to junior engineers.



Develop GenAI applications such as using AWS Bedrock, Claude, or other similar GenAIs. Must possess analytical skills in crafting prompts.



Develop front-end web portal, using ReactJS and JavaScript technologies.



Develop reusable and modular UI components for consistent look and feel across the portal.



Develop API or backend software services, using Python, with various data stores such as relational database (MySQL, MSSQL), non-relational database (DynamoDB, OpenSearch) and cloud storage (AWS S3).



Able to develop and deploy applications to AWS environment, ideally using script to provision cloud environment required to host the application.



Develop unit tests.



Develop CICD pipeline and deployment automation.



Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth delivery of the assigned projects.



Qualifications



Degree in computer science or software engineering, or relevant job experience.



Minimum 7 years experience developing software using Python, web frameworks, AWS and GenAI collectively.



Minimum 2 years experience developing solution architecture and technical design, covering application architecture, infrastructure (cloud) and DevOps.



Experienced in database programming using MySQL, MS SQL, DynamoDB, or OpenSearch.



Experienced in AWS cloud provisioning and monitoring.



Familiarity with Container services such as Docker/Kubernetes is an advantage.



Enthusiastic about learning and building innovative products.



Good command of written and spoken English.
