Roles and Responsibilities

Deliver high quality application development work that complies with the standards set and fulfil the requirements outlined. Write clean, efficient, and scalable code with the aid of AI-powered coding assistants. Perform requirement analysis, design, coding, documentation, testing and support for new/existing applications. Meet the targets and deadlines as per the project schedule. Pro-actively seek clarification and guidance when in doubt. Provide in-line documentation that meets the requirement for systems documentation & maintenance purposes. Provide systems and end-user documentation that is accurate, complete and conforms to the standards set. Participate in ad-hoc tasks when deemed required based on workload, targets and deadlines imposed on the team.

Requirements

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent. Extensive experience in software development, preferably with JAVA, with a minimum of 7 years. Exposure to AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, CodeWhisperer, ChatGPT API, Tabnine). Possess good programming skills with familiarity in Java related technologies including HTML, JSP, JavaScript, Servlet, and JDBC tools and technologies. Working knowledge Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and JavaScript knowledge - able to read and understand an HTML and JavaScript document. Experience in XML, EJB, XML, Struts, Spring, Hibernate is a plus. Optional is WebSphere, WebLogic, Oracle, DB2. Familiar with layered application framework. Understanding of how Web applications work e.g. session management. * Fundamental knowledge of Web browsers, Servers and Web application & Client Server architecture.
