Serve as the deep Subject Matter Expert (SME) for MSSQL databases, providing Level 3/4 technical and analysis support including architecture, engineering, deployment, troubleshooting, and resolving complex issues.
Analyze MSSQL database architecture and recommend process changes, system optimizations, upgrades, enhancements, and integrations for hardware/software and storage.
Ensure quality and consistency in design, development, testing, and integration cycles, adhering to architecture, project management, and compliance guidelines.
Lead continuous improvement of MSSQL database design and delivery standards, ensuring documentation and socialization of processes and procedures.
Lead and participate in technical working groups to diagnose and resolve issues with MSSQL databases, including replication, backup, and recovery.
Drive database technology lifecycle management, upgrades, disaster recovery exercises, backup and recovery, incident response planning, and problem resolution.
Collaborate with infrastructure operations, engineering, and application development teams to deliver database services within SLAs and performance targets.
Proactively identify and address user experience pain points related to database technologies.
Oversee MSP service level agreements, manage database availability, capacity for growth, system health, and performance.
Provide proactive and reactive performance analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolution of database issues.

Hands-On Experience: Over 10 years of extensive hands-on experience in designing, developing, tuning, optimizing, deploying, and updating MSSQL database instances in high-volume transactional environments with critical uptime requirements, supporting 24/7 SaaS, e-commerce, or web-based solutions.
High Availability: At least 5 years of specialized experience in designing, developing, tuning, optimizing, deploying, and maintaining High Availability (HA) features of MSSQL Server Enterprise edition in a clustered environment. Strong expertise in database replication technologies including Always-on, SQL Server Failover Clustering, Log Shipping, and Database Mirroring, with robust architectural/engineering skills for HA and Disaster Recovery.
Microsoft SQL Technologies: Comprehensive knowledge and extensive experience with Microsoft SQL server technologies (SSMS, SQL clustering, Data Synchronization, Encryption, Partitioning, Performance, Security, SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS configuration).
Proficiency: High proficiency in MSSQL server and database configuration, security, backup & recovery, replication, performance troubleshooting, and advanced tuning.Cloud Experience: Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud and Azure Data Platform utilizing Data Management services.Technical Issue Resolution: Excellent troubleshooting skills for resolving complex technical issues related to MSSQL server and database.Technical Skills
Proficient in TSQL, SQL*Plus, and PowerShell programming to automate SQL Server operational tasks.
