Location: Batu Kawan, Penang, Malaysia

Job Type: Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to join our global Consumer Product Team based in Penang, Malaysia, and lead the successful execution of complex engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, a deep understanding of product and engineering processes, and the ability to drive cross-functional teams towards achieving project goals. As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from planning and resource allocation to delivery and post-project analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering teams, and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, resources, and budget allocation.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and efficient collaboration.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project execution.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and make informed decisions to prevent budget overruns.
  • Facilitate regular project status meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and addressing concerns in a timely manner.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and engineering best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Evaluate change requests, assess their impact, and make decisions on incorporating changes into the project scope.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, progress reports, and post-project analysis.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned, successes, and areas for improvement.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the project management processes and the broader engineering organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master\'s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Program Manager or similar role, managing complex engineering projects from conception to delivery.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, development processes, and technology trends.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to create detailed project plans, allocate resources, and manage budgets.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating cross-functional teams, resolving conflicts, and maintaining effective communication.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams towards achieving project goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • PMP or other relevant project management certifications are a plus.
