Technical Project Director is responsible for overseeing the planning and design of fiber optic networks and high-capacity transmission networks to meet the specific needs of clients or organizations. They work closely with clients, project managers, and network engineers to ensure the successful implementation of fiber optic networks and transmission networks. Key Responsibilities: Lead the planning, design, and architecture of both the transmission network solutions and fiber optic networks based on specific client or organization requirements. Analyze client network traffic and capacity requirements to ensure that network solutions meet current and future needs. To evaluate the feasibility of the proposed fiber optic network routes and identify any potential obstacles or challenges after the site survey team conducted the site survey and output the technical site survey report. Develop detailed network plans and diagrams to aid in the implementation of both the transmission networks and fiber optic networks. Work with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that network design and implementation meet project timelines and budget constraints. Select and procure necessary transmission network/fiber optic equipment and supplies to support network implementation. Collaborate with network engineers to test and troubleshoot network performance issues as they arise. Stay up-to-date with emerging transmission network/fiber optic technologies and recommend updates and enhancements to existing fiber optic network infrastructure. Mentor and provide guidance to junior planners to ensure their professional growth and development. Maintain accurate documentation of transmission/fiber optic network design, installation, and maintenance procedures. Requirements: Bachelor\'s degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in fiber optic network planning and design. Strong knowledge of transmission/fiber optic network architecture, network protocols, and network security. Experience with fiber optic network design and planning software. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Certification in fiber optic network design or related field is preferred.
