Join us as Technical Promotion Specialist for the Electrification Business Area where you will be planning and implementing proactive promotional activities for the assigned target audience - consultants, design institutes, engineering/architect offices, authorities etc. to create the market demand and need for the features/products. Building long term customer relationships and identifying and developing sales opportunities by introducing, presenting and educating the target audience about ABB products and tools. Reporting to Sales Manager and this position will be based in Pulau Pinang, Malaysia.

Your responsibilities

• Implementing proactive promotional activities for the customer target group, including e.g., technical presentations, demonstrations, seminars, education material and technical development of projects and solutions
• Preparing plans for visits and performing regular status reviews, including the analysis and output of the target audience visits
• Establishing and maintaining effective long-term relationships with target group customers to understand their current, future needs and ensuring that customer has a good understanding of the full ABB product/systems/services offering, features and benefits
• Ensuring a positive experience for the customer target group throughout the promotion activities
• Creating a vision of a loyal, committed, and long-term customer relationship and implementing the necessary action plan and steps to reach the vision
• Providing customer support in answering technical questions, performing electrical calculations for the design institutes and technical consultants
• Ensuring efficient marketing activities and strong value proposition to customers by using effective promotional techniques. Communicating details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy
• Managing and driving education of the target audience by conducting and organizing appropriate training interventions

Your background

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree preferably in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical sales support and business development, dealing with consultants and assisting in the tendering process (Specification)
• Strong relationship or network in M&E consultant and industry knowledge of general industry, semi-conductor, industrial automation are preferrable
• Possesses good negotiation, presentation and communication skills, positive attitude, team player and self-motivated
• Fluent in written and spoken English
