Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Purchaser to manage the sourcing and procurement of make-to-order (MTO) and OEM parts. This role involves identifying reliable suppliers, obtaining quotations, placing orders, and closely following up with vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.

Source vendors for make-to-order (MTO) and OEM parts based on technical specifications or drawings provided by engineering Request and evaluate quotations from multiple suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and lead times Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers in alignment with company targets Issue purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation is maintained for audit and tracking purposes Monitor and track order status; proactively follow up with vendors to ensure on-time delivery Liaise with internal stakeholders (engineering, production, quality) to clarify requirements and provide regular status updates Address any delays, discrepancies, or quality issues in coordination with vendors and internal teams Maintain supplier performance records and support vendor evaluations Identify cost-saving opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the procurement process Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures

The ideal candidate has

A bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Economics/Administration or equivalent 2-4 years of experience in procurement or sourcing, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment Experience with make-to-order or custom part procurement is highly desirable Familiarity with technical specifications and ability to read basic engineering drawings is a plus Excellent analytical, numerical and problem solving skills Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel A strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
