Technical Sales Representative (Chemicals) - Malaysia

Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group\'s Industrial Division is recruiting on behalf of a leading chemical supplier.

This respected client of mine is looking for an individual to join their team as their Technical Sales Representative. The successful candidate will be responsible in developing the company\'s business activity in the field of agricultural (Plant Nutrition) for the continental Malaysian market. The candidate will be reporting to the Area Manager -Southeast Asia.

Key job responsibilities include:

• To define the sales strategy according to the Area Manager for this region.
• To prospect new clients
• To manage the distribution clients.
• To take responsibility for your area and optimize your results (margins, volume, and market share) with direct sales.
• To guarantee the quality of our products and respect delivery deadlines to our customers.
• To monitor the market (competition, potential clients, raw material costs, and regulations).
• To ensure reporting to the Area Manager.

• Bachelor\'s degree in a Science/Biotechnology field or relevant.
• Successful 2-3 years of experience in sales, ideally in a B2B environment.
• Experienced in sales of Agricultural products and/or being familiar with trading commodities would be a plus.
• Knowledge of cultural and business practices in the agricultural landscape will be highly appreciated.
• Excellent negotiator and results oriented. Strong entrepreneurial spirit and love to take up big challenges.
• Able to work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
• Comfortable in being outdoor on the field, travel in Malaysia is to be expected (70%).
