Equipment Technician performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning equipment used in EMI Process.

The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Provides Manufacturing and Equipment support needs in a rapidly changing development and high volume manufacturing environment.
• Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and assembles equipment according to schematics, repair manuals, or specifications.
• Performs preventive maintenance, conversion, repairs, and troubleshooting diagnosis
• Resolves non-standard problems, works with minimal supervision, and can adjust to rapidly changing priorities.
• Must be a self-starter capable of managing own activities as well as supporting team activities.
• Works with Engineering to support new equipment installations and improvement initiatives.
• Responsible to complete all the scheduled PM & conversion within the stipulated time with no further issue.
• Responsible to sustain MTBA, Repeat Alarm & OEE above goal.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

- Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical/ Electronics/ Mechatronics

\xc2\xb7 Must be able to work in 12 hour shift

\xc2\xb7 Able to read, write and converse in English, and Bahasa Malaysia

Preferred

• Proficient at troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PC software/hardware related issues.
• Ability to use schematics, hand tools, electrical gauges and common test equipment for calibration, diagnosis and repair of equipment.
• Ability to understand PLC system.
• Ability to use vision system will be an added advantage.
• Self-motivator: ability to work independently under general guidance and direction.
• High level attention to detail with methodical approach to troubleshooting and project management
• Provide leadership to other technicians through training and mentorship.
• Drive solutions and guidelines by recommending and writing maintenance procedures.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with peers, engineering, and managers.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment to monitor equipment performance, diagnose root cause, and drive factory improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of Sputtering, UBA line, Plasma, Taping and Detaping equipment/ process would be an added advantage.
