The Biomedical Technician will work closely with biomedical engineers in the design, development, and maintenance of medical equipment and systems. This includes devices such as pacemakers, MRI machines, X-ray units, and other hospital-based medical technologies.

The role involves building, installing, inspecting, calibrating, repairing, and maintaining biomedical equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. The technician will also support the operational readiness and cost-effective management of all medical-technical systems within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:



Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of biomedical equipment. Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and calibration to ensure reliability and safety. Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning medical devices. Maintain accurate records of equipment performance, maintenance, and repairs. Support the procurement and inventory management of biomedical devices and spare parts. Ensure compliance with safety standards, manufacturer specifications, and hospital policies. Collaborate with medical and technical staff to ensure proper usage and care of equipment.

Requirements:



Diploma or Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Electronics, or related field. Hands-on experience in servicing medical devices is an added advantage. Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of hospital safety and regulatory requirements. Good communication and teamwork abilities.
