• Responsible for the plant performance of generating units and its auxiliaries. Report to Technical Executive (Plant Performance) and work together with Senior Technical Assistant (Plant Performance), who will provide the routine tasks and activities.

• Perform routine operations in the following areas:

• Ensure that the equivalent availability factor (EAF), forced outage rate (FOR) and customer satisfaction index (CSI) are within the target / objectives.
• Forecast unit generation, equivalent availability factor (EAF) and forced outage rate (FOR) for upcoming years in references with agreed planned shutdown activities.
• Extraction of data from daily log sheet and record in the compilation of monthly report.
• Prepare and monitor monthly energy sales & water royalty.
• Review Risk Management System in complying with Sarawak Energy\'s policies and standards.
• Liaise with Finance, Grid System Operator (GSO), Information and Communication Technology, Operational Excellence under Generation Central Services and other section / department for any issues related to plant performance.
• Monitoring and keep track of all lubricating and fuel oil, and to make sure the respective oil level is not less than the minimum stock level.
• Monitoring all telecommunication system and Wi-Fi system (Operator Residence and Power Station) in the power station.
• Full comply of safety requirement on PPEs such as safety shoes, safety helmet, earplug/muff, uniform etc and comply all the times on Life-Saving Rules (LSR).

• Responsible for plant performance and condition monitoring activities of equipment.

• Work together with Operational Excellence team, HQ with regard to plant performance and condition monitoring of Batang Ai HEP\'s generating set and its auxiliaries equipment (oil analysis, vibration monitoring, partial discharge, thermography etc).
• Work together with his supervisor to prepare the condition monitoring schedule.
• Ensure the condition monitoring activities are carried out as planned.
• Analyze all condition monitoring reports from Operational Excellence and Research & Development (R&D) department and take appropriate for the recommendations/findings.
• Prepare condition monitoring summary reports to supervisor.
• Communicate the recommendations/findings in the condition monitoring reports to Operation, Maintenance and Planning Team for further action.

• Involve in maintenance activities including frontline maintenance under directive of supervisor.

• Carry out repair and maintenance of generating unit and its auxiliaries.
• Inspection, troubleshooting and fault finding of the generating unit and its auxiliaries at power station including power intake, spillway and switching station.

• Involve in staff training and development.

• Identify the mandatory training and competencies for all staff and arrange the training accordingly upon approved by Station Manager.
• To compile the training record.
• Monitoring the CAC and EIU interview for staff.

• Involve in procurement process.

• Involves in quotation and report preparation (SAC).
• Execution of project, supervise the work to ensure its comply with the quotation requirements & carry out safely and monitor its progress until it complete as planned.
• Provide vendor performance in e-evaluation database.

• Involve in the station programs, activities and events (CSR, Tree Planting, Hydro Day etc.).

• Participate to ensure that above are carry out smoothly, safely and within allocated budget.
• Assist in coordinate the programs, activities, and events with other divisions / departments / entities (internal / external).

• Involve in ISO activities.

• Review and provide recommendation to the existing Quality Procedure (QP) and Work Instruction (WI) if required for continuous improvement.
• Participate in the audit session (internal / external).
• Attend meeting and resolves any arising matters.

• Involve in HSSE activities.

• Participate in safety inspection / walkabout in Batang Ai HEP.
• Participate in HSSE event.
• Participate in Emergency Response Plan (ERP), Dam Safety Emergency Plan (DSEP) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP).

• Involve in 5S activities.

• Practice and maintain high class 5S Housekeeping at Batang Ai HEP.
• Participate in 5S activities.

THINKING ENVIRONMENT & CHALLENGES (PROBLEM-SOLVING):

• Challenges to improve and maintain a high reliability and availability of the hydro generating set in meeting with SEB Power\'s objectives.
• Monitor and take whatever necessary actions within capability to minimize the plant exposure to the risks that can affects its operation and performance.
• Adapting to the latest condition monitoring technologies and its best practices.

QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE (KNOW-HOW):

• Diploma in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical discipline with minimum two (2) to three (3) years experience.

Preference will be given to internal candidate.
