KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• To report to Senior Mechanical Fitter/Technical Executive/Engineer and to carry out duties as assigned to.
• To be involved with planned maintenance such as Major Overhaul/Combustion Inspection/Routine Inspection/Hot Gas Path Inspection of gas turbines (GE Frame 6, ABB GT35B and Sulzer Type 7 GT) at the main station and diesel engines at outstation. To reduce outages where necessary in the event of maintenance.
• To be involved in routine maintenance of Power Station\'s auxiliary equipment and to be a lead fitter for main station and outstation maintenance work.
• To be involved in fabrication work such as welding, grinding, brazing, machining etc when necessary.
• To attend to operational problems and complaints from operational staff.

QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Technical Certificate/Diploma in Engineering.
• 2 years of maintenance work experience at a power generation facility.

SKILLS:

• Ability to manage and organize a team of maintenance fitters with difference skills and background.
• Technical knowledge in operation and maintenance of rotary equipment such as gas turbines, compressors, pumps etc.
• Technical knowledge in operation and maintenance of static equipment such as pressure vessels, valves, heat exchangers etc.
• Technical knowledge in operation and maintenance of diesel engines.
• Technical knowledge in fabrication, modification and design of tools and mechanical support.
• Knowledgeable in preparing Maintenance Work Schedule for Planned Maintenance.
• Computer literate - Words, Excel and Power Point.
• Knowledgeable and skillful in welding, machining, gas welding, cutting, drilling etc.
• Good communication and interpersonal skill.

SPECIAL ASPECTS/MAJOR CHALLENGES OF THE JOB:

• Require specific experiences and knowledge to carry out troubleshooting of specific equipment such as gas turbine system - control and supervision system (various models and made).
• Require specific knowledge in maintenance of Gas Compressor (various models and made) and Air Compressors.
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of old/ageing equipment, old control system with obsolete spares.
• To perform all tasks in line with the station legal requirements (ISO Standards, local council, DOSH & DOE requirements).
