Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:
Works with Production, Engineering and related department to solve quality issue happened in AE process and customer side, assist QA Engineer to coordinate quality improvement activities in AE both for manufacturing process and product quality, ensure process ability and product quality meets AE standard and customers' requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assist QA Engineer to handle quality issue happened in AE process and customer side, implement containment action, investigate the root cause, follow up corrective actions and response to related person/department, and Product Hold process follow up.

• Perform line process audit, product Out of Box Audit (OBA), process compliance audit on daily basis.
• Perform inspections on incoming materials, PCBA, module and Higher Level Assembly against standard specifications and product and process documentation.
• Report and follow up any quality issues and incompliance in day to day operations.
• Purge coordination and RMA verification.
• Update audit reports and findings in timely manner.
• Guide related persons such as operator and inspector on quality standard and workmanship standard understanding.
• Data collecting and analysis, and drive improvement with data.
• Assist QA engineer in First Article Inspection and compile results to customer as need.
• Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information related to the production processes and components, business and other technology including materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Location: Penang Science Park, Simpang Ampat Penang.
• Primarily works in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
• High voltage and current conditions exist and appropriate precautions must be observed.
• Works under direct supervision and get support from engineer sometimes to understand new tasks.
• Overtime may be necessary in times of increased demand.
• Work in day and night shift based on shift assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Good communication skill, be able to coordinate persons from different departments to implement the quality activities and solve quality issues.
• English and Malay communication skills in verbal and written.
• Familiar with IPC standards.
• Skills of electronic / mechanical product inspection.
• Basic knowledge of ISO standard related such as 9001, 14001, 18001 and etc.
• Knowledge and understanding of ESD & Cleanroom practices.
• Good team work.
• PC skills, able to publish reports with MS office such as excel, word, PPT and etc.
• Able to train and educate assemblers and inspectors.

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance in manufacturing environment especially with High Level Assembly or related to inspection and quality.

EDUCATION:

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent education and/or experience.
