Job Description

:

Plan and execute preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, commissioning, inspections, breakdown maintenance and repair of Electrical/Instrument equipment, with additional Mechanical/Production equipment if deemed competent to support operation and maintenance of regional/ country production of oil and gas to sustain highest technical standards in safe and cost-effective manner.

:

• Perform preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance work on Low Voltage (LV) electrical systems and equipment including generator to meet maintenance and operation requirements and update all data into relevant program and/or systems.
• Perform switching operations of LV systems as per competency level and update all data into relevant program and/or systems.
• Perform preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance high voltage (HV) generating systems and equipment (as per competency level) under supervision of senior technician category (B0 and above) as per operation requirement and update all data into relevant program and/or systems.
• Supervise and coordinate LV electrical installation after modifications by contractors and vendors in compliance with installation standards and specifications.
• Perform dismantling and assembly of electrical equipment in accordance to work specifications and update all data into relevant program and/or systems.

Qualification:

• Technical Diploma from Polytechnic or equivalent.
• Complete Petroleum Technology Program I (PTP1) from Institute Technology PETRONAS (INSTEP).
• Passed Electrical Competence (EC) requirements such as Certificate Electrical Installation (CEI) Electrical Chargemen Category A4 (Low voltage system with overhead and genset) (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) / Electrical Chargeman Category L3 (Sarawak Electrical Inspectorate Unit (EIU)) (Low voltage system with overhead and genset)
• Passed PCSB Competency Development Program.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years as Technician (Electrical/Instrument) NT2.

OR

• A minimum of 10 years as Operation Technician in oil, gas and related industry with demonstrated knowledge and skill in Electrical/Instrument tasks.
• Subject to baseline assessment evaluation by PCSB.
