POSITION: TECHNICIAN (PLATE MAKING)

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

To operate machinery to ensure productivity and quality and perform routine maintenance of machinery

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Understand the environmental impact of plate making processes and ensure compliance with Environmental Management System (EMS) regulations.

2. Identify and manage environmental aspects related to plate making activities to minimize environmental impact.

3. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on plate processor machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

4. Responsible properly store standby chemicals and ink to maintain their integrity and prevent contamination.

5. Ensure proper usage and handling of different plate sizes according to production requirements.

6. Operate Suprasetter machines efficiently to produce high-quality printing plates.

7. Responsible to handle chemicals and ink responsibly, including preparation, transferring, and topping up as needed for plate making processes.

8. Responsible to replace plate processor chemicals when necessary, following proper procedures and safety protocols.

9. Responsible to utilize chemicals in plate making processes according to manufacturer guidelines and safety procedures.

10. Operate computers, printers, and photocopier machines to support plate making activities effectively.

11. Have to handle and use printing plates with care to ensure accurate and consistent printing results.

12. Manage and discharge wastewater generated from plate making processes in compliance with environmental regulations.

13. Utilize the Metashooter program for plate imposition and layout to optimize plate usage and minimize waste.

14. Promptly address and clean up any chemical spillage or leakage to prevent safety hazards and environmental contamination.

15. Manage and dispose of scheduled waste, such as oil and grease, according to regulatory requirements.

16. Responsible to handle and dispose of contaminated rags generated during plate making processes in accordance with waste disposal regulations.

17. Familiarize with spill kit handling procedures and effectively manage chemical spillage incidents to minimize risks and environmental impact.

QUALIFICATION:

1. SPM and certificate equivalent

2. Three (3) years' experience in Manufacturing (Printing / Packaging)

3. Good command of Bahasa Malaysia / English

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From RM1,700.00 per month
