KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Ensure accurate and reliable operation of 33kV and 11kV protection scheme in all the three Regions by providing feedbacks/recommendations with regards to enhancing safety, reliability and quality of electricity supply and good customer services.
• Perform tripping investigation such as retrieve relay information for analysis to confirm the operation of protection equipment.
• Perform troubleshooting including any necessary test to confirm the equipment condition which include protection relays, meters, annunciators and associated interlocking, intertripping involving control relay panel.
• Perform rectification including any necessary modification to solve the problem.
• Perform replacement with same or equivalent equipment if equipment cannot be rectified.
• Provide assistance to other DPCI teams; Testing and Commissioning Team, Procurement, Inventory and Maintenance Team and Protection Grading Team.
• Work together with other divisions/departments, when necessary, for works involving other parties
• Promote and involve actively in Total Quality Management covering OSH, ISO and 5S House Keeping activities, etc.
• Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time by Engineer (DPCI-Investigation and Rectification) and Manager (DPCI).

QUALIFICATION/WORK EXPERIENCE

• Certificate in Engineering from Polytechnic and equivalent institutions / MLVK Level III / SESCO Training Centre Graduate (2 years)
• Preferable with minimum 2 years relevant working experience as Technician (Electrical) in SESCO or equivalent

SPECIAL ASPECTS/MAJOR CHALLENGES OF THE JOB

• To perform all tasks in line with the Information Security Quality Manual (ISQM) and the ISMS roles and responsibilities procedure.
• To perform all tasks in line with the Information Governance Policy Suite and Guidelines.
