Technician

What a Technician does at HP:

Work with Process Engineering to evaluate, select and install equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacturing of products.

Work on the transfer and installation of manufacturing equipment

Interface directly with suppliers for installs, troubleshooting, equipment acceptance and resolving any technical issues that may arise.

Perform system upgrades, re-design hardware and components for productivity, yield, and cost improvement.

Obtain and maintain equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.

Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:

Typically, an Associate degree / Diploma or equivalent experience and 4-6 years of experience.

May include highly experienced individuals performing equivalent work who are non-degreed or degreed in an unrelated field.

Working knowledge in the field of electromechanical technology or semiconductor.

Experience in performing machine buyoff, maintenance or handling process machines will be an add-on advantage.
