A Test Engineering Technician is a professional who assists test engineers in performing various testing and troubleshooting activities within an engineering or manufacturing environment.

The primary responsibilities of a Test Engineering Technician may include:

1. Test Setup: Setting up and configuring test equipment, instruments, and fixtures according to test specifications. They execute tests, record data, and monitor the test process to ensure accurate and reliable results.

2. Test Development: They may assist in designing or modifying test fixtures and test equipment to accommodate specific testing requirements.

3. Troubleshooting and Debugging: Identifying and resolving issues or malfunctions in test setups, equipment, or products being tested.

4. Data Analysis and Reporting: Collecting and organizing test data, and performing basic data analysis using software tools. They generate reports, summarize test results, and present findings to test engineers.

5. Equipment Maintenance: Maintaining and calibrating test equipment and instruments to ensure accurate and reliable test measurements. They perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs as needed, or coordinate with external service providers for more complex maintenance tasks.

6. Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements in test setups, procedures, or workflows. They may propose and implement changes to streamline testing processes, reduce test cycle times, or enhance data collection and analysis methods.

For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
