Job Description

A. Scrubber Operation

1. Supervise and manage the scrubber operation to ensure good operation control and compliance.
2. Liaise with legal authority/DOE in regard to Scrubber.
3. Train Scrubber Team on Scrubber operation.
4. Develop management awareness on Scrubber operation and legal requirement.
5. Conduct performance monitoring for scrubber comprises daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annually.
6. Check, verify and record the damper setting at dipping line connecting to scrubber with Production.
7. Ensure sufficient fresh water is supplied for scrubber good operation. Liaise with WWTP team on the Scrubber wastewater treatment.
8. Ensure pH probe are always in good condition. Regularly check, clean, verify with buffer, and change if necessary. Record accordingly.
9. Investigate, analyse, and troubleshoot when Scrubber in upset condition or abnormalities are detected.
10. Monitor Scrubber process parameters to maintain optimal scrubber operation. (eg. air flow rate, pH, liquid flowrate, liquid pressure, gas temperature).
11. Identify any equipment/instrument malfunction. Scrubber body/ducting/piping from leakages/clogging. Liaise with PEM to get it repair based on urgency.
12. Ensure good housekeeping at Scrubber area.
13. Establish and implement 5S for the scrubber system.
14. Liaise and collaborate with the relevant departments in regard to Scrubber.
15. Continuously improvements the Scrubber system and management.
16. Perform related duties as required if Scrubber Team is absent/on leave.

B. Scrubber Chemical & Chemical dosing

17. Ensure chemicals are sufficiently always stocked and replenished for good scrubber performance.
18. Ensure the chemicals dosing pumps are in good operational conditions.

C. Scrubber Instrument & Performance Monitoring Equipment/Device Calibration

19. Check and inspect the instruments used in the scrubber operations are calibrated as per the requirements (quarterly and annually) and in good condition.
20. Plan and follow up the scrubber instrument calibration with lab team.

D. Scrubber Maintenance

21. Ensure scrubber equipment, components and instruments are in good condition.
22. All control and monitoring instruments are in good condition especially pH probes. Others such as pressure gauge, rotameter, u-tube manometer.
23. Collaborate with the PEM team to reduce any breakdown.
24. Plan and conduct Scrubber preventive maintenance with PEM (eg. check and change packing, demister, spray nozzle, flushing/clean scrubber)
25. Develop and assess the equipment list and spare part with PEM (duty, backup, spare, spare part)

E. Chlorination System

26. Monitor and ensure all process parameters for chlorination system within the control specification.
27. To take immediate and appropriate action to resolve any related chlorination process issue.

F. Chlorination and Scrubber Record keeping, SOP & Others

28. Shall ensure all the scrubber performance monitoring, emission monitoring, preventive maintenance & scrubber supervisor/technician/operators training records are kept for minimum 3 years as per the legal requirement.
29. Comply and adhere to safety, health and environment policy, rules and regulations at all the time.
30. To ensure proper GMP practice and safety practice.
31. Other assigned duties as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
