The Technology and Innovation Engineer is an application developer that receives requirements from Management and Sector Leads and develops solutions per requirements. This role assists in driving proficiency within the team, assures best practices are followed, and supports the delivery of quality solutions in wastewater treatment, biogas and waste management industries.

• To conduct market research to stay up to date with industry trends and customer needs.
• To identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and visitations.
• Meets clients or potential clients to understand their pain points and / or needs and identifies opportunities for innovation.
• To build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
• Reviews and evaluates new technologies that may be beneficial to current and upcoming project work
• Participates in the technical design review process to ensure high quality technical designs
• Designs solutions on an enterprise level with medium level of guidance
• To conduct product presentations and provide consultants to potential clients.
• Assures best practices are defined and followed
• Works in laboratory for R&D work
• Works at project job sites
• Performs and supports other duties and responsibilities of team members as required
• Adheres to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor
• Travels within Malaysia and overseas
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• A bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronics Engineering / Civil Engineering or its equivalent
• Possess a minimum of 3 years experience in the industry of Wastewater Treatment / Biogas / Waste Management / Resource Utilization or other related industries
• Freshly graduate students are also encouraged to apply for this position
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook), knowledge of AutoCAD Software is an advantage.

• Fast learner, hardworking, pro-active, independent, self-driven and self-motivated
• Feel comfortable to travel within Malaysia and overseas
• Experience dealing with palm oil mills, livestock farms, agriculture and / or aquaculture farms is an advantage.
