The SEA Build and Test team is responsible for supporting the development of Dyson products by producing prototypes and performing verification & test activities related to both software and hardware for all product categories.

About the role

Search is on for creative tech savvy engineer to join SEA Test Development Team, to keep pace with Dyson\'s ambition for incremental growth in product intelligence to enhance customer experience.

The right candidate can be excited with prospects of working closely with the Research, Design & Development (RDD) with broad range of disciplines, including Technology & Quality Technical Leadership teams across multiple product categories, to develop verification strategy & robust test capabilities throughout the product lifecycle.

Some of your tasks could include:

• Analyse of design specifications with a view to formulate test strategies and acceptance criteria for evaluating the intelligent features of a product or system.
• Assessing the performance and scalability of intelligent features under various interaction noise or use case conditions, identify test methodology and develop test capabilities to achieve robust and efficient verification of intelligent features performance to meet product specification and quality standards.
• Project management for test capabilities readiness in accordance with project scope/delivery dates, which include tasks prioritization, risks & issues escalation for project deliverables.
• Design and development of test prototype jigs and fixtures / test apparatus, for a variety of technical disciplines, using analysis / simulation tools, CAD, investigative processes, etc, in support of test method development.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams on post-development work, validating the effectiveness of design improvements / modifications and aligning on applicability of developed methods & equipment.
• Continuous improvement of intelligent features verification test capabilities throughout the product lifecycles
• Failure analysis processes and preparation test failure reports, ensuring dissemination to appropriate Design Team(s) for investigation.

About you

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering Sciences (Mechatronics or equivalent)
• 2~3 years of relevant working experience in test development or product verification, fresh graduates are welcome to apply for Junior Engineer role.
• Experience or competent in System Engineering to have effective interdisciplinary collaboration with various technology teams, including software, hardware, and technology subject matter experts.
• Ability to apply statistical & analytical techniques to define and ensure test data sets are representative and relevant to the intelligent features being tested.
• Familiar with programming languages such as MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, C/C++, Java, R, or similar.
• Understanding of machine learning algorithms, including regression, classification, clustering, and deep learning is a plus.
• Self-directed, comfortable with working across product NPD teams & product lifecycle teams, be unafraid of getting their hands dirty.
• Deliver quality results in a busy and dynamic business focused and fast-paced environment; demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail always.
• Innovative - Displays ability to think out of the box, meeting challenges with resourcefulness, generating suggestions for improving work /developing innovative approaches & ideas and be able to present them in an \xe2\x80\x9cattractive\xe2\x80\x9d manner.
