Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the evaluation, recommendation, and implementation of testing procedures and strategies for the new products.

- Perform waveguide and optical coupling tests of passive components, and electro-optical tests to characterize active optoelectronic devices and photonic integrated circuits.

- Work closely with other teams/departments on both in-house, customer and supplier.

- Identifies opportunities in the test group to improve test capabilities and procedures to increase efficiency.

- Generate test reports with measurement results and detailed analyses in a timely manner.

- Contribute actively to the build-up of test and characterization capabilities of the Photonics Test Lab, including maintenance of test set-ups and jigs and calibration of the measurement instrumentation, as well as software control and automation of the set-ups.

- Manages the engineering test group and ensures that all test developments follow a disciplined engineering process.

- Grow and develop a team of Test Engineers and Technicians.

- owns and controls the test of new and recurring products.

Key Qualifications:

- Bachelor Degree's in Engineering and Experiences in LED manufacturing.

- 5+ years of experience with component testing and evaluation.

- Language(s) : English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin (Fluent speaking & writting)

- Graduate degree in electrical engineering, or a related field.

- Experience with high-speed RF characterization tools and methods and optical testing.

- Ability to analyse measurement data to extract key device performance features.

- Experience with programming for test automation.

- Proficient in working with large datasets and statistical analysis tools.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong and effective communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills

- Hands-on experience with coherent communication systems and optical testing is preferred.

- Test experience on transmitter and receiver optical engine in Si Photonics.

- Full Time Position station in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM6,800.00 per month
