Job Description


To complement our team, we are looking for a customer- and team-oriented individual for our Plasma Control Technologies division at the Penang site as aTest EngineerFor 75 years, we have been following our curiosity. Our developments make an important contribution to safer, more efficient and more sustainable production, mobility and communication.In the Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division, we manufacture specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens for sensors, smartphones or tablets.Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for process and equipment setup in production and engineering.
  • Lead improvement activities in process in terms of cost, quality, speed and safety.
  • Responsible for SPC system in sustaining for new and existing products.
  • Work closely with other Comet facilities to synchronize on process changes, roll-out hardware and
software development to test team.
  • Work closely with related parties on test process issues.
  • Work closely with Production on tool arrangement and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Support test analytic for overall process improvements.
  • Responsible for any changes related to test processes.
  • Take up special assignments i.e. coordination, project lead, process coach roles when being assigned.
  • Ensure SPC, process capability, tool to tool variation are in control.
  • Prepare and update process document i.e. control plan, OMS and FMEA.
  • Responsible to run workability and raise ECO/ECN for process, material and parameter changes.
  • Support qualification, risk assessment, internal and external FAR as well internal line audit and customer visit.
  • Establish training material and OPL and provide training whenever necessary.
  • Establish Out-of-Control Action Plan [OCAP] for process deviation.
  • Perform process capability studies, DOE and Failure Analysis to improve on chronic rejects.
  • Initiate project, evaluation & study for cost saving, capacity & quality improvement.
  • Raise special clearance and ECO/ECN topic which related process change or process issue.
  • Release and sustain test and calibration programs that required to support NPI and operation needs.
  • Ensure availability of test software and hardware to support operational needs.
  • Support continuous improvement program and excursions that may happen from time to time.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or its equivalent with more than 5 years\' experience as Test Engineer.
  • Experience in test measurement, high mix low volume production testing and Electrical & Electronics troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge in Radio Frequency (RF), Source Measurement Unit, LabVIEW tool, Python programming is an added advantage.
  • Analytical, knowledgeable, and meticulous with the ability to handle multiple projects in parallel.
  • Able to train and lead engineers on special technical task and contribute to company technical roadmap.
