SUMMARY
Direct Test Engineers I & II in operating within area of assigned responsibilities with a high level of efficiency, integrity and enthusiasm, striving to achieve excellence in all endeavors. Designs, develops and maintains test procedures, tester hardware and software for electronic circuit board production.

LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment and Retention:
\xc2\xb7 Recruit and interview Test Engineers I & II.
\xc2\xb7 Communicate criteria to recruiters for Process Technician position candidates.
\xc2\xb7 Coach Test Engineers in the interviewing/hiring process.
\xc2\xb7 Monitor team member turnover; identify key factors that can be improved; make improvements.
Employee and Team Development:
\xc2\xb7 Identify individual and team strengths and development needs on an ongoing basis.
\xc2\xb7 Create and/or validate training curriculum in area of responsibility.
\xc2\xb7 Coach and mentor Test Engineers I & II to deliver excellence to every internal and external customer.

\xc2\xb7 Provide feedback to Assistant Test Engineering Manager on cost and cost trends.
TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
\xc2\xb7 Perform duties, which involve conventional engineering practices that may include a variety of complex duties from ICT, FVT, ESS to System level test.
\xc2\xb7 Manage the engineering test function for standard and/or custom devices.
\xc2\xb7 Through subordinate supervisors or professional staff, identify and evaluate test procedures and test equipment required to perform quality checks.
\xc2\xb7 Compile and document data necessary to analyze performance and make recommendations for changes in the testing process.
\xc2\xb7 Assist/spearhead in the development of special test equipment and software text programs as required for the successful completion of project.
\xc2\xb7 Assist customer, setup training program for new product testing procedures.
\xc2\xb7 Provide training and assist test engineers.
\xc2\xb7 Act as the liaison and technical conduit for assigned customers.
\xc2\xb7 Explore new avenues and test technologies for quality improvements on product assigned.
\xc2\xb7 Perform detailed analysis on test quality of product assigned, identify trends and spearhead corrective actions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

s for Photonics Operations Test Engineer
Job Summary:
We require an accomplished Photonics Test Engineer to join our team. The Photonics Test Engineer will be working closely with the product and manufacturing teams to deploy the manufacturing test processes used to produce the products. The engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting and problem-solving when issues arise with the testing by work with cross-functional teams to identify root causes of issues and implement solutions. The engineer will collaborate closely with the global SME and R&D team to create and deploy new products testing infrastructures and will be responsible for establish the yield tracking, reporting and optimization to achieve high yields and high dependability. In addition, the engineer will be required to work autonomously and assist the development of the product till mass production.
Key Responsibilities:
Examine the new photonics product designs for requirements on testability and determine the target yield to review with the management and the client.
Support manufacturing by analyzing test failures, debugging testers, reducing intermittent failures, reducing the need for retesting due to No Defect Found, and reducing test equipment downtime.
Strong knowledge and experience in setting up and troubleshooting photonics measurement equipment included optical laser source, optical switches, optical power measurement meter, wavelength meter, optical variable attenuator, optical coupler, optical spectrum analyzer, source measurement unit, oscilloscope, network analyzer etc.
Provide document for testing procedures and to be utilized from the product design stage until mass production stage.
Create testing documentation for the methods to be utilized from the product design stage through to mass manufacturing.
Using statistical tool analysis such as Minitab or JMP for reporting, review test equipment designs and test data analysis.
Plus, regular discussion with customers on RMA issues and Debugging Bonepile review.
Perform routine inter and intra site tester correlation through GR&R, study the critical parameters correlations across different tester / slot and make sure it\xe2\x80\x99s within the customer requirement.
Working with the customer to make necessary corrections to the tester to correlate to the baseline tester using KGB (Known Good Board )/ KGU (Known Good Unit).
Perform SPC (Statistical Process Control) to collect data on all tester and make sure it meets the required Western Electrical Rules, perform necessary repairs or troubleshooting if the KGB / KGU failed the SPC check.
Provide proposal to management and client for testing fabrication, test control apparatus, fixtures and equipment.
Coordinate engineering activities regarding development, procurement, installation, calibration of instruments, equipment, control devices required to test, record, and reduce test data.
Determine and analyze conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations.
Perform proper assignments of the engineering test function for photonics product.
Analyze test data, provide technical reports for test engineering team, management and the client.
Conduct automated test setup and maintenance on machinery and equipment for DC and optical test using software and hardware tools.
Perform semi-routine technique development and maintenance, subject to established Jabil standards, including ISO and QS development standards.
Provide training and couching on new procedures for production testing technicians. Identify and evaluate test procedures and test equipment required to perform quality checks.
Manage equipment and product test performance and proposed recommendations for changes in the testing process.
Develop special test equipment and software tools programs as required to support the photonics product testing.
Explore new alternatives and test technologies for quality improvements on product assigned.
Perform detailed analysis on test quality of product assigned, identify trends and spearhead on corrective actions.
Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
