About the role

HFC Tech Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled and experienced Thermal Application Engineer (TIM) to join our dynamic team in Kota Damansara, Selangor. As a Thermal Application Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and optimisation of thermal management solutions for our cutting-edge products. This is a full-time position that offers opportunities for growth and development within a rapidly expanding engineering organisation.

What you'll be doing

Perform Thermal Analysis and Simulations of Semiconductor Devices and Packaging using tools such as ANSYS Icepak, COSMOL, or Flotherm. Evaluate and select appropriate

Thermal Interface Materials (TIMs)

for high-performance thermal management. Design and execute

experiments to measure thermal resistance

, bond-line thickness, and material degradation under thermal cycling or aging. Work closely with

Production, Research & Development Team & Material Science Team

to support the development and optimization of new TIM solutions. Provide

Technical Support to Production Support Team and External Customers

on TIM Applications, reliability, concerns and thermal troubleshooting. Develop

applications guidelines, datasheets, and technical documentation

for TIM materials and best practices. Interface with

manufacturing and process engineering

teams to ensure reliable application of TIMs in production environments. Support

customer qualification

and collaborate on root cause analysis for thermal failures or performance issues.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's or Master's degree in

Mechanical Engineering

,

Materials Science

,

Thermal Engineering

, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in thermal management, heat transfer, or thermal interface materials Strong understanding of thermal analysis, simulation, and testing methodologies Proficiency in using thermal analysis software tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL, or equivalent) Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Strong communication and presentation skills A MUST be able to speak, read and write in

English & Bahasa Malaysia.

A MUST be able to

travel regionally or internationally

as required for client support, testing, or project deployment Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to thermal management
