, you will execute high-quality pipeline welds using TIG (GTAW), CO?, or CO?+Ar processes. You will prepare and inspect joints, maintain equipment, and ensure welds meet radiographic (RT) standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform TIG welding (primarily on pipe joints), CO? or CO?+Ar welding on carbon/low?alloy pipelines.
Conduct pre?welding inspections: groove dimensions, material verification, gap checks.
Perform visual and self?inspection post?weld; assist with UT/MT/RT testing and corrective rework.
Ensure welds pass RT inspection without defects.
Operate and maintain welding machines, ensure continuous and safe gas flow.
Accurately log welding hours, consumables, and maintain documentation.
Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including confined space and hot work procedures.
Support equipment diagnostics and minor fault resolution as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
Valid welding certification(s): TIG + CO? welding; for CO? role, certified for pressure pipeline welding.
Preferred minimum 3 years
of TIG welding experience (carbon steel pipelines);
CO? welding pipeline experience
highly preferred.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and welding specifications.
Competent in multiple welding positions (e.g., 5G, 2G).
Able to work on-site, in shifts, and overtime as needed.
Must hold valid health clearance.
Safety-minded with demonstrated compliance in welding operations.
