The role of team lead is to lead a team of development engineers to develop and introduce new products (tire) into the market according to the requirement book and meet the end consumer expectation.

As a team lead, you will report to Group Lead PJ and have development engineers as direct reports. You are responsible for the team development in line with the department\'s strategy and to support each individual\'s career pathway via employee dialogue including recruitment process. This also includes supporting the department/group leaders on strategic/management topics and owner of the "Newcomer Onboarding Concept" for TLD APAC.

You are the main representative for the department in the area of new product industrialization planning accuracy and execution. In this role, you will be coordinating all new tire line product launch plan with the support of all tire line owners/project leaders. As the key business partner with Product Launch Manager, together you will ensure our product-to-market commitments are on time and always fulfilled.

You will drive "Efficient Development" within the department, meaning continuously looking for synergies/collaboration among all products (e.g. agile development approach, R&D development tools, smart task distribution) to ensure customer-centricity and best value creation for our business partners and customers.

You will have (reduced) direct product development responsibilities and tasks. Your hands-on responsibility and knowhow will act as an enabler for continuous "Efficient Development" improvement.

Product development responsibilities include to continuously improve and ensure product performance of active running products in the market. As a project leader, you are responsible for the product from the project start up together with the other project team members until the introduction of the new product in the market. Another task is the product responsibility for running products; this means the continuous observation of the producibility, the product performance(Technical Customer Service support) and responding on occurring problems. Worldwide networking between central R&D and Marketing in Asia-Pacific and all involved international markets would require good skills in working in an international environment.

Qualifications

Education : Minimum Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering or comparable scientific education from a recognized university.

Experience : Minimum 2 years working experience in Automotive industry and/or within Continental.

Fluent in English, open to communicate, ability to work in multicultural teams, capable of team work and strong self-driven work approach
