Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop stamping dies, jigs & fixtures using CAD tools. Review drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements for manufacturability. Coordinate tooling fabrication, modification & repair with internal and external parties. Conduct tool trials, validation, and fine-tuning for accuracy & quality. Support preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend tool life. Troubleshoot tool-related issues; lead root cause & corrective actions. Improve tooling performance, part quality & changeover efficiency. Prepare tool costing, supplier RFQs & support NPI cost estimation. Assist QA with dimensional validation (CMM/VMM). Collaborate with production, QA & engineering teams to meet schedules.
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die, Manufacturing, or equivalent. 3-5 years' experience in tool & die design / metal stamping / sheet metal. Proficient in CAD/CAM (AutoCAD, SolidWorks). Knowledge of tooling materials, heat treatment, press setup & troubleshooting. Familiar with GD&T & dimensional inspection. Strong problem-solving, coordination & communication skills. Able to work independently and collaboratively.
