Job Summary:

The Tooling Forecasting Specialist I is responsible for working with the Tooling function to guarantee solid forecasting for P&E tool budgeting year over year. This role ensures the tooling function has an optimized set of tool kits ready to carry out business activities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop new forecasting models and methodology based on O&G and DP outages, installation planning, and on transactional estimates
  • Communicate actively with the region field teams who requested tool kits to ensure proper fulfilment
  • Work on a cross business approach (O&G, DP, and possibly others) to synergize investments on common tools (like borescopes, laser aligners, and others) to save on P&E investment needs
  • Carry out billing process; manage data feed of billing systems and calculated invoices
  • Identify standard kits to be proposed to our customers for outages where GSI is engaged
  • Build yearly P&E budget for new tooling globally and identify best localization based on estimated regional demand
  • Document and properly communicate forecasting results to regional tooling team and support Sourcing on identifying best Suppliers based on identified volumes and localization
  • Maintain communication with the Logistics Team during the shipment of the tools and work with the Sourcing Team for third party rented tools
  • Provide estimates on demand trends for main tool kits on a periodic basis in addition to the yearly budget
  • Build positive relationships with end field customers
  • Travel may be required
  • Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments
  • May be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization\xe2\x80\x99s core values.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • HS Diploma, or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in forecasting, budgeting, or similar finance role
  • English proficiency required
Desired Characteristics:
  • Bachelors or 4-year degree from an accredited university or college in finance or business-related field preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Deep technical knowledge of material planning and forecasting techniques
  • Good knowledge of basic financial models and return on investment assessment techniques and O&G and/or Aero outages planning and service fulfillment best practices
  • Excellent communication skills and writing skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot and problem solve
