Manage the operations of an authorized Toyota dealership service centre, overseeing both front-line customer service and workshop production for vehicle servicing and repairs.
Develop strategies, forecasts, and action plans to achieve monthly sales, service units, and quality targets.
Collaborate with the HR department on recruitment, training, motivation, counseling, and performance monitoring of all aftersales staff.
Track and control the performance of the aftersales department through reports, monitoring systems, and customer surveys.
Review technicians' productivity and maintain accurate payroll records.
Coordinate with the Parts PIC to monitor orders and ensure parts availability.
Facilitate and/or conduct technical training and arrange external training sessions when necessary.
Ensure proper documentation management with no missing or mishandled records.
Promote teamwork and collaboration within the aftersales department and across other departments.
Attend monthly operations meetings and provide updates on departmental performance.
Ensure all service and repair work meets Toyota's SOPs and quality standards.
Conduct periodic spot checks on completed jobs to maintain thoroughness and high standards.
Maintain clean, safe, and customer-friendly work and waiting areas.
Ensure prompt customer greetings, accurate cost/time estimates, and adherence to Toyota's customer service guidelines.
Handle customer complaints professionally and in line with Toyota's policies.
Maintain professional grooming and appearance at all times.
Perform ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by Management.
Job Requirements
Certification in automotive studies or equivalent qualifications.
Strong customer-focused mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and lead an aftersales department effectively.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the automotive industry.
At least 2 years of managerial experience, with prior responsibility for supervising staff.
Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English; Mandarin or Cantonese is an advantage.
Solid understanding of vehicle technologies, specifications, and automotive industry regulations.
Must be willing to work in Kota Kemuning.
